Irate youths storm ODM headquarters demanding Raila be sworn in

By ALLAN TAWAI

A group of irate youth stormed the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) offices on Thursday, January 11 demanding for the swearing in of NASA leader Raila Odinga.

The youth, who were ostensibly tired of waiting on the much publicized inauguration of Raila, demanded the ODM party leader to be sworn in not later than January 30.

They cried foul over an alleged deal which they claimed was being brokered in silence to quell the swearing in ceremony.

“We as NASA youth have noted some foul play. We have heard of brokers who are coming up with a deal to end the inauguration plans,” One of them said.

They further threatened to ‘deal’ with their own leaders if there was further postponement of the swearing in.

Their threat came at the back of some new loopholes which have emerged, threatening to disrupt the process all over again.

Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka (Ford-K) is among eight legislators who have distanced themselves from the swearing in of NASA leader Raila Odinga.

For one thing a section of NASA-affiliated leaders from the Kisii region have already distanced themselves from recognizing Raila Odinga as the People’s President, saying Uhuru Kenyatta should be legitimately recognized as the Head of State. Several other NASA leaders, including Deputy Kalonzo Musyoka have strongly hinted at calling off the inauguration if the Jubilee party opened up to a dialogue.

Now what after DNA results confirm that Sharon and Melon are identical twins?

Sharon Mathius and Melon Lutenyo are biological twins, DNA tests conducted by Lancet Kenya have revealed.

The tests released on Saturday showed that Sharon and Melon shared identical DNA profiles, with 23 allelic loci tested showing 100 per cent perfect match which is consistent with the two being biologically identical twins.

The report said that Rosemary Khaveleli Onyango could not be excluded as the biological mother of the twins who have compatible obligatory maternal allelic profile with a 99.999 per cent probability.

BIOLOGICAL MOTHER

The report also excluded Ms Onyango from being the biological mother of Mevis Mbaya with 12 out of 23 loci tested showing a mismatch. (Three or more mismatches are considered grounds of exclusion of paternity) the report stated.

The tests also showed that Melvis Mbaya exhibited a compatible obligatory maternal and paternal allelic profile with those of Ms Angeline Omina and Mr Wilson Lutah Maruti respectively.

The report released by Dr Ahmed Kalebi, CEO Lancet Group of Laboratories also showed that the probability of Melvis being Ms Omina’s daughter was 99.999 per cent.

Family members kill monster dad who shot dead his three children

Published

on

A man from Kapker village in Elgeyo Marakwet county – who shot dead his three children and injured another three on Monday – was killed on Thursday evening by his family members, police have confirmed.

Marakwet East police boss Vincent Kitili told journalists that David Kipkorir Kamaril was flushed from his hideout in Kabulwo village and shot dead by the irate kin with the same gun he used to kill his children.

Family and clan members executed the revenge with the coordination of villagers in the neighbouring Keiyo North Sub County.

Kipkorir had fled his village as police pursued him after the killings last Monday morning.

According to police, the group led by angry family and clan members frog-marched Kipkorir from the hideout all the way to their home in Kapker village where he was forced to get the gun he had used to shoot his children.

“The same gun was used to kill him by his clansmen,” read a police report.

The man was then hurriedly buried as the family members feared being caught by the police.

Mr Kitili said they will visit the village and conduct investigations on the matter.
