Murkomen was the first person to call after I lost my job – Ken Mijungu reveals

Published

on

Ken Mijungu has had a mixed 2020. The former NTV anchor lost his job at NTV a few months ago but looks like he has rebounded back in a big way.

How was that possible? Classic 105 spoke to the charismatic father of one who said that he was o.k mentally because he had been planning for any eventuality long before.

On whether he was OK with the way NTV undertook the retrenchment process, Ken said that he had no issues. “If I hadn’t gone, someone else would have gone. I look at it like everyone is the same.”

He added, “If I didn’t leave someone else would have left.”

Mijungu revealed that the reason he was able to bounce back from the retrenchment so quickly was that he had always been doing side-hustles since he started employment.

One of his side-hustles is as a lawyer where he does consultancy for his clients while another was that he hires out premium cars to executive clients.

Ken attributed his success in media and in his side hustles to his professional work ethic and exceptional job performance.

And had Mr. Mijungu lost any friends during this trying time? “Not even one person has kept away” he enthused! “Not even one. Even the politicians have stuck with me. The first person to call me after I confirmed that I had lost my job was Kipchumba Murkomen.”

He added, “The second person Belgut MP, Nelson Koech. I have even received messages from Francis Atwoli and Raila Odinga. If I wanted to get work elsewhere I wouldn’t tarmac because I am a professional and do my job well.”

Lilian Okeri, 27, and five other nurses have been charged in the death of Savion Hall, who died in July, 2019, at a hospital in Texas.

Others charged alongside Okeri, are Adeola Adesomi, 41, Flor Estrada, 30, Timothy Forbush, 28, Kelly Robins, 52, and Esther Ihediwa, 45.

The six, according to court documents, are being accused of failing to maintain proper and adequate records for the victim to get proper medical care.

The second charge according to CBS 7, states that, by failing to keep medical records, Hall did not receive the “proper medical care.”

MEDICAL RECORDS

The six individuals, are also accused of making false entries on Hall’s medical records.

According to court documents, Texas Rangers were called in to investigate the death of Hall who was in the custody of the detention center.

Socialite Corazon Kwamboka and her boyfriend Frank Kiarie aka Frankie Just Gym It have revealed the name and gender of their unborn child.

The couple is expecting a baby boy whom they have named Tayari, which means our love in Spanish and ready in Swahili.

The celebrity couple made the revelation in a three-minute video, in which Frankie also surprised Kwamboka with a cake.

GENDER REVEAL

“Gender reveal. All I need in this life of sin. PS; We were just having fun and doing this for ourselves, this video was never intended to see the light of day. At this point, we never thought we’d ever had the courage to be open about us. I just felt like sharing 🤷‍♀️” Kwamboka posted on Instagram.

The cake was divided in two, one half in blue and the other half in pink. The cake also had the names Tayari and Kesia written on each half.

Before cutting the cake, Kwamboka said that if it turns out that she is carrying a baby girl she will name her Kesia and if it’s a boy, his name will be Tayari.

Upon cutting the cake, the colour inside was blue, meaning it’s a boy.

“It’s a boy, aawww… this is what I wanted, I just didn’t want to say it,” said a teary Kwamboka.

Last month, after Nairobi News exclusively revealed that the two were expecting a baby, Kwamboka confirmed that indeed she was pregnant with Frankie’s child.

Until that point, Kwamboka and Frankie, who is the ex-husband of YouTuber Maureen Waititu, had been keeping the pregnancy a secret.

During a live Instagram session, she said she found out she was pregnant while in Diani on holiday with her mother.

“I found out that I was three weeks pregnant. When I came back to Nairobi, I bought pregnancy kits, tested myself and the results were positive,” Kwamboka said then.
