Pomp, colour and fireworks as President Kenyatta’s son weds at State House

Published

on

With all the pomp and lavishness befitting a man from the first family, president Uhuru Kenyatta’s first son, Jomo Kenyatta, married his long-time sweetheart Fiona Achola Ngobi in an elegant all-white ceremony held at State House on Sunday evening.

The invite-only wedding was kept out of media and public attention and guests are reported to have been barred from accessing the venue with any recording cameras or phones. Probably explains why nothing from the event is yet to leak on social media.

Achola is niece to Defence CS Raychelle Omamo and granddaughter to the late William Odongo Omamo; former minister for Agriculture, Minister for Environment and Natural Resources and a former Member of Parliament for the Bondo Constituency and Muhoroni Constituency.

Achola and Kenyatta welcomed their first child, baby Wanjiru, in November 2017.

The wedding attracted top personalities within Kenya’s political and social scene, and was complete with fireworks at night.

The two held their traditional dowry and wedding ceremony in 2016 in Ichaweri, Gatundu. The baby was named Wanjiru after Kenyatta’s mother, First Lady Margaret.

We wish the couple all the best in their marriage.

Michelle Ntalami sets record straight days after fueling lesbianism rumors with Makena Njeri

Published

on

Last week, Michelle Ntalami and Makena Njeri sparked speculations that they were an item after Makena serenaded the Marini Naturals’ CEO with sweet words on her birthday.

Now, the Nairobi-born entrepreneur has decided to clear the air on the issue once and for all, calling out clout chasers for “affixing labels on people who are not what they call them”.

Michelle articulated that relationships’ dynamics are too complex for someone to just slap a label on another person. Before clarifying:

If I haven’t said it myself, you have no right to go labeling me this or that. I hardly address trolls. But today I’m setting the record straight! Get this from both the Queen and the horse’s mouth; I AM NOT WHAT YOU ARE LABELLING ME.

This was all she had to stay, before categorically stating “she is not here to explain her life to anybody nor admit to any allegations leveled against her”.

When I work hard, you troll. When I play hard, you troll. When I love hard, you troll. TF?

The young entrepreneur went ahead to confess to her fans that “she never signed up to be anyone’s role model”.

So if her life is a bother to anyone, then they could as well pack and leave.

I signed up to live my dream! If this has inspired others along the way, great! So pick what floats your boat about me and move with it. But don’t tell me how I should live my life, what I should ‘admit’ to or what position you reckon I like.

Well, according to Betty Bayo her boyfriend from back then promised to marry her if only she got her skin a bit lighter. And knowing how affordable the creams are at River Road, Nairobi….she did what most women do; and decided to please her man.

Betty Bayo back to factory settings

Lesson learnt

Having gone through such hardships and still ending up all alone left the singer with a well learnt lesson she now hopes to pass down to her fans. On the post, Betty discouraged young men and women from changing themself to please their partners. She went on to conclude her post saying;

“To all my sister and brother out there trusting God for a lifetime partner learn from my mistake ..kama mtu anakupenda akupende vile ulivyo ,whether black skinny plumpy anyhow you look, any person who compares you with other people force you to be who your not, always lowers your self esteem and still claims he or she loves you is a SCAM . To my future husband am God fearing, short, focused ,chocolate in colour and very jovial and I snore😞#share your story
