COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has for the first time spoken about his relationship with KTN news anchor Mary Kilobi after their marriage came to light a week ago.

Speaking during an interview at Citizen Tv with Jeff Koinange on JKL, Atwoli revealed that he met Kilobi 13 years ago when she was 21 and vowed to marry her.

“When I met her about 13 years ago, that’s in 2005 in Kampala and she was at that time with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) and I was in the company of my second wife whom I have released to go and do politics and she has taken over.

“At that particular time we talked and she was still young at around 21 years old and I told her when you mature even if it takes 1000 years I will marry you. After her stay in Uganda she came back to Kenya, got a job with KTN.

“And because of the nature of work I do, you need somebody to assist you, you want somebody to rush and get you something and it must be a person you trust. She is my assistant, she is my lover, she is my wife and she got to take care of me. I’m a stupid lover,” said the COTU boss.

Asked to comment about his wife Mary Kilobi, who was watching the show at home, Atwoli described the Kiswahili anchor as a nice lady who is taking good care of him.

“I tell her she is a nice lady, she is taking care of me, she is committed to our relationship and that’s all. But that does not mean I don’t respect my elder wife. She is a wonderful mama she has kept my family together and she is doing a commendable job,” added Francis Atwoli.

When asked about the age difference he responded, “There is no age limit between a man and a woman, everywhere in the world.’’

Atwoli is 36 years her senior.

“Na kazi unaweza? Bado unasoma katiba?” asked Jeff. Watch:

In a candid interview with the Nairobian, the pretty media personality revealed that they met while she was in Uganda where she was working as an intern with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation.

Atwoli was in the station for an interview and upon hearing of a Kenyan girl who was working there, he insisted on meeting her.

They exchanged numbers and in 2016 he won her heart.

‘’He proposed to me but I said no. But he insisted. He persistently stated that he was serious and would wait for even 1000 years for me to say ‘yes’ and marry him,’’ said Kilobi.

Published

on

Citizen TV news anchor Lilian Muli didn’t call Classic 105 FM to talk to popular presenter Maina Kageni about her collapsed relationship. Instead, she found other ways of reaching him and sharing on how things are tough.

Ms Muli took to social media to applaud Maina’s post, a sermon from the renowned pastor TD Jakes, saying that it touched her.

“Inspired by Bishop TD Jakes!!! “You know the story as well as I do, about the boy with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread, then the Miracle begins to occur…. He’s blessing something that is just not enough!!! You see, until you can be thankful for that which isn’t enough, then what you have CANNOT be multiplied into what is more than enough!!!” “We are CERTAIN that he had 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread, without question…. then HE blessed it… when HE blessed it, HE BROKE IT… that’s when we lose count… we need to understand, therefore, that THE BLESSING IS IN THE BREAKING!!! THAT, THAT WHICH REFUSES TO BE BROKEN, REFUSES TO BE BLESSED!!!! IT IS THE BREAKING OF LIFE, THAT PRODUCES THE BLESSING OF LIFE!!!!” “I have noticed, in my life, that the most BLESSED people I’ve ever met, have all gone through something that broke them!!” Maina posted.

Muli, who is coming off an ugly break up with baby daddy Jared Nevaton who cheated on her with multiple women, confessed to Maina on Instagram the post moved her.

Newly ordained evangelist Size 8 will host her first crusade on January 20 after graduating from Harvesters Global Church Bible Training School in December last year.

Size 8 shared the news with her fans on social media with a poster that invited all to the crusade to be held in Riruta Stadium.

“The Revival Crusade with Evangelist Size 8 Reborn at Riruta stadium hapo BP from 3pm. Entry free,” read part of the poster.

She also shared her brief story of her journey from singing secular music to being called by God to be used as a mouth piece to evangelize.

“Who God calls, He justifies. He uses anything for His will and His glory. He is not a respecter of persons. It doesn’t matter your past. God calls you before you are born and sets you apart for His glory,” wrote Size 8.

She added: “Like Paul the apostle a MURDERER OF THE CHRISTIANS met Jesus on His way to Damascus and became one of the most radical witness of Jesus Christ. So has God called Linet Munyali Muraya from the heart of SINFUL MUSIC AND THE WORLD to be His mouth piece an evangelist to Kenya and the world. Father I finally accept your call to go out fully and represent you. To God be the glory. Let your will be done.”
