COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has for the first time spoken about his relationship with KTN news anchor Mary Kilobi after their marriage came to light a week ago.

Speaking during an interview at Citizen Tv with Jeff Koinange on JKL, Atwoli revealed that he met Kilobi 13 years ago when she was 21 and vowed to marry her.

“When I met her about 13 years ago, that’s in 2005 in Kampala and she was at that time with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) and I was in the company of my second wife whom I have released to go and do politics and she has taken over.

“At that particular time we talked and she was still young at around 21 years old and I told her when you mature even if it takes 1000 years I will marry you. After her stay in Uganda she came back to Kenya, got a job with KTN.

“And because of the nature of work I do, you need somebody to assist you, you want somebody to rush and get you something and it must be a person you trust. She is my assistant, she is my lover, she is my wife and she got to take care of me. I’m a stupid lover,” said the COTU boss.

Asked to comment about his wife Mary Kilobi, who was watching the show at home, Atwoli described the Kiswahili anchor as a nice lady who is taking good care of him.

“I tell her she is a nice lady, she is taking care of me, she is committed to our relationship and that’s all. But that does not mean I don’t respect my elder wife. She is a wonderful mama she has kept my family together and she is doing a commendable job,” added Francis Atwoli.

When asked about the age difference he responded, “There is no age limit between a man and a woman, everywhere in the world.’’

Atwoli is 36 years her senior.

“Na kazi unaweza? Bado unasoma katiba?” asked Jeff. Watch:

In a candid interview with the Nairobian, the pretty media personality revealed that they met while she was in Uganda where she was working as an intern with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation.

Atwoli was in the station for an interview and upon hearing of a Kenyan girl who was working there, he insisted on meeting her.

They exchanged numbers and in 2016 he won her heart.

‘’He proposed to me but I said no. But he insisted. He persistently stated that he was serious and would wait for even 1000 years for me to say ‘yes’ and marry him,’’ said Kilobi.

Kenyan singer Eunice Njeri explains her 24-hour marriage in Texas.

BY OLIVIA MUNGWANA

Gospel singer Eunice Njeri has opened up on her 24-hour marriage to gospel rapper Isaac Bukasa, alias Izzo, which took place in Texas in  2016.

Njeri claims that a medical condition forced her to hurriedly get married.

Close to two years later, Njeri explains why she decided to get married in the first place and what prompted her to end it on the day of their wedding .

“I wasn’t going with my heart at the time, also at the same time I was very sick. I had fibroids. Bleeding a lot and at the same time I thought I should get married. I was like maybe I should do this, why am I saying no? I have been saying no for 20 year maybe it’s time to say yes,” she narrated.

“And in that mix of being sick, being in the hospital and getting all these transfusions, I had a whole confusion time. Confusion made me rush into decisions I wouldn’t have made.”

The gospel singer underwent a successful surgery last year to remove the fibroids.

The two announced their engagement in September 19, 2016  via Instagram. Two months later, they invited friends and family for their wedding on November 27 at Neema Gospel Church in Texas where Izzo’s family lives.

The marriage however ended barely 24 hours after they had tied a knot, a shameful divorce that was wrapped in secrecy by friends and family.

Few months later, Njeri took to her Instagram to finally break the news on how the marriage ended on the day of the wedding. She explained that her heart was somewhere else (not in United States) and that place was Kenya.

She immediately left the States to return home.

Six reasons men just can’t stop staring at women, even when they have their own

Published

It was one of those warm days that inflated Mombasa this week. I was on my way to campus on my bicycle. Two blocks from where I resided, I turned right towards the main road and found myself five metres behind a young lady.

She had long black hair and was wearing a short putty-colored top, grey sweatpants – the top tucked primly beneath the sweatpants.

My first sight of her felt like a light blow to the chest. Her body held my interest, so did her decision to put on fitting sweatpants along with her splendid figure, her loveliness.

Even with the fleetingness of the six blocks, I kept her company close behind- she turned right, and she was gone. We owe each other nothing.

The inevitable backwash of guilt arrived, as my fellow men know it does. I had spent minutes gazing at a pretty girl`s backside. I have a girlfriend and heck! I hope she is not reading this. I could hear my inner critic pressing charges against me.

So, why does girl-watching have such terrible reputation?

I had a heated discussion with some of my classmates and everyone had their own reasons, others rebuking it while others praised it.

I found myself at crossroads and finally set out to unearth why the infamous male gaze is not creepy as some think it is.

Why It Is Okay To Creepily Stare At Women

Science Suggests…

When a man looks at a woman, a chemical reaction happens in his brain. Neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin are released, giving him an involuntary surge of pleasure. It is simply nature.

2. Men can`t help it

It is right there in the headline! Whether they want or not, men can`t stop staring at women. It is “UNAVOIDABLE”. That`s just how male sexuality works. Do you really want men to stop doing something that they can`t stop doing? That just won`t happen.

3. The weather

It`s a scientific fact: When the weather gets hotter women`s clothes get smaller, and when women`s clothes get smaller, men have no choice (see no.2) but to catalogue and analyse every inch of exposed skin. Don`t like it, ladies? The last time I checked, men did not make the weather- Mother Nature did!

4. Women have boobs

“I`m having a hard time concentrating; the waitress at the cafe is brain-stopping. Her cleavage seems to be the prix fixe. Those boobs are on the menu, just like food! Isn`t it?

5. Charles Darwin

Men look at attractive women because attractiveness means women are healthy and fertile, an evolutionary advantage.

6. Not staring at women is pointless

Would not staring at women “help” anything? I wonder. No, it would not.

So, there you have it! I have done my homework. To those ignorant people slumbering in the dark ages of culture and dogma or whatever it is, kindly wake up and face reality.
