VIDEO: Betty Kyallo told off by netizens for featuring in naughty video

K24 TV anchor Betty Kyalo appears to have swallowed more that she could chew after featuring in a music video by Khaligraph Jones, in which the musician refixes his ‘Stick’ song.

While the TV siren appears to be determined in dancing to the musician’s racy lines, which we cannot repeat here and can only leave it to your discretion to listen in (check video below), she is clearly smitten and even blushes like a village girl, as one critic put it.

In recent days, there have been complaints by Kenyan musicians that the media, especially FM radio stations, are not doing enough to promote Kenyan music, which has been dismissed offhand.

Milele FM’s Jalang’o accused them of being unprofessional, citing the manner they approach sponsorship deals and their unappreciative nature when they are given platforms to showcase their work.

While Kyalo may have been out to boost Khaligraph’s rating, it backfired badly if reactions, including from fellow media personalities are anything to go by.

For Ken Odero, it was a desperate attempt by Kyalo to remain relevant in the wake of a competitive media scene. He, however, added that in agreeing to feature in an X-rated audio video, she ended up denting her brand.

Others said the video is demeaning to women.

Editor’s note: The video is about a man preparing his flame for what to expect behind closed doors or whenever they meet, including at an airport.

“In this clip, Betty Kyalo is giggling – Like a village teenager, being seduced by the boy who just acquired his 1st black mamba bicycle – from the nonsense being spewed by Kaligraph. Our media is so much in deficit of content that some of our journalists would do anything as long as it seems to be trending. As a content creator, I understand that it is not easy to keep up with the audience and the flow of information in this country. But again, at what point do you allow, you as a brand to be pulled down to this level? And what about the brand you represent? This is a big problem we have with celebrity journalists in this country. Or need I say news readers who have no clue what it is they are doing. Sometimes, I ask who helped the tortoise up that tree! Drops that Mic,” wrote Odero.

Incidentally, the video emerged in the week, Kyalo, whose past relationships with NTV anchor Dennis Okari and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho ended in drama, told Parents Magazine that she was cautious falling in love again and that she would not seek to marry a celebrity again.

“I have met so many nice guys but I’m still hesitant because of my past experience. I am being intentionally patient just to get someone who I feel ideal for me and not a celebrity,” she told the family publication.

However, there are critics who said they appreciate such music with some noting Kenyan FM stations play Western R&B music that contains even more vulgar language.

Televangelist James Ng’ang’a arrested for “threatening Linus Kaikai”

Controversial televangelist James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism was Sunday night arrested for threatening Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai.

Pastor Ng’ang’a was picked up from his church in Nairobi at the junction of Haile Selassie Avenue and Mombasa Road and locked up at Muthaiga Police Station after Kaikai had complained he felt threatened following a video footage that the pastor produced attacking him.
Police said he was praying with other worshipers when he was picked up after being informed of his crime at about 11pm.
Police said Ng’ang’a will be arraigned later.

In a viral video released last week, the pastor, dressed in military-like regalia and calling himself a “Chief General Commander” threatened unexplained “consequences” believed to be directed at Kaikai.
Kaikai, who is one of the panelists in a news show, News Gang, went viral with his take seeking to regulate pastors he referred to as spiritual fraudsters who are profiting off unsuspecting Kenyans.
“The people behind these so called churches have gone rogue in the name of Jesus, in the name of God,” Kaikai said.

“We are dealing with thieves not men of God. These are cold blooded evangelical vampires living off the blood of their flock in the name of Jesus. They are conmen who must have their date with our police and our law courts. Some of them preach prosperity but only they profit.”
“To these characters, Sunday, a day ordained as the Lord’s Day of rest and worship has become the most profitable day on the trading floor. Offerings flow like a mighty river and onward into their private accounts in the Lord’s name.”

Kaikai listed few instances when pastors have made the news for conning members of their churches and minting millions off illegal schemes.
This prompted Ng’ang’a to shoot his video with the attacks on Kaikai.
“I am telling you like a Chief General Commander, you have to stop that, if you don’t stop you will face the consequences…” said Pastor Ng’ang’a.
“…. I can’t hide you but you can hide me.”

DJ Mo slams haters for fueling rumours of his ‘troubled’ marriage to Size 8

Gospel DJ Mo has for the first time responded to rumours of him ‘cheating’ on his wife of five years, celebrated gospel musician Size 8 Reborn.

Sometime last year rumors circulated alleging that Size 8 had walked out of their matrimonial home after she found out Mo’s alleged infidelity.

The claims were almost made believable when DJ Mo later appeared on NTV’s weekly comedy show, The Wicked Edition, where he admitted that at some point in their marriage, Size 8 left their home from for about a week after a disagreement.

Size 8 would later appear in a radio interview to defend her husband, terming the claims as false although she admitted that their marriage is not perfect.

All this time DJ Mo remained silent on the allegations until recently when he weighed in on the matter while attending the Malaika Tribute Awards.

While telling off his critics, DJ Mo said they should be ashamed of themselves for fueling the rumours as his family is still intact.

“Everyone is entitled to their opinion and so if we are still together someone should be ashamed. Hatuachani,” DJ Mo said.

The couple, who got married in a private civil wedding at the Attorney General’s Chambers, just weeks after Size 8 announced her salvation, are blessed with one daughter Wamboi.

VIDEO: Marking her 30th birthday, Betty Kyallo spills the beans about her personal life.

To mark her 30th birthday, K24 news anchor Betty Kyallo has spilled the beans about her personal life.

In a tell it all interview with comedian Jalang’o on Friday, Betty talked about her life, career and marriage to NTV investigative journalist and news anchor Dennis Okari.

Among the issues she talked about was her baby daddy’s (Dennis) recent nuptials and rumours about the bride having been her maid of honuor during her wedding to Dennis.

“I wish nothing but the best for Okari and his new bride. Because I moved on with my life since our divorce and managed to find happiness again. And I would not want him to still be affected by our separation but to be able to move on and find happiness like I did,” Betty said during the interview.

“And about that rumour that has been going around that my ex’s bride was my maid of honour at my wedding to Okari is just lies. I do not know her, and we have never met before. The maid of honour at my wedding was gospel artiste Rosy Ohon,” she added.

However, what has left netizens with raised eyebrows was Betty’s mother’s comments during the show.

Betty’s mother said she warned her celebrity daughter about something in the past but she did not listen to her.

This in turn led to things not working out in Betty’s life.

She however wasn’t specific in the matter, leaving it to the audience to speculate whether her warning had to do with Betty’s failed marriage or her romantic relationship with a prominent public figure at the time of her marriage.

According to media reports, it is alleged that Betty dated Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, although she has in the past neither accepted or denied the allegations.

Well, that was until last night when Jalang’o probed her about the matter.

Here is how part of Betty’s conversation with Jalang’o went:

Jalang’o: After dating the governor you know you can only date a president.

Betty: No no no, that is not true.

Jalang’o: You can’t go below that.

Betty: Who said first of all I am happy (giggles uncontrollably as Jalango continues to taunting her). I’m happy financially, I said I would never date anyone who is in the public limelight again.
