Some Kenya traffic cops use Matthew 5:25-26 to explain why they take bribes

25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.

26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

Now you know.

But wait a minute. This passage has been thrown in my face again and again to show me how I made the wrong choice with my kids. Problem is, most people don’t even understand what this scripture means. So I’d like to pose a little hypothetical situation for you all.

Satan comes to your door. He takes advantage of your politeness to gain access to your home. Once inside, he says, I’ve received a report that your children were seen walking too far from home. I’m quite concerned by this. If this problem is not remedied, I am afraid I’m going to have to remove your children from you. I need you to sign this paper agreeing that you will not allow your children to go outside the gates of your property unless you are with them.
