ODM leader Raila Odinga’s wife, Idah Odinga, MPs Rosa Buyu and Gladys Wanga are known for being political leaders and addressing various issues in the country.

In a two and a half minute video doing rounds on social media, the leaders shared a light moment, dancing to music in the United States.

The four showcased their dance moves to the Lingala song by a Congolese musician, Moses Fanfan.

While at it, they maintained uniformity, constantly reminding each other on the move to take next.

They were attending an open session on the 63rd Commission on the status of women at the UN headquarters in New York City.

The theme this year is Social Protection Systems – Public Services and Infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of the women and girls.

The rallying call is: “Women’s empowerment and the link to sustainable development.”

The meeting, which began on March 11, is expected to end on the 22nd of the same month.

In attendance are delegates of member states, UN bodies and non-governmental organisations accredited to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)

Other women in attendance are First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and Charity Ngilu (Kitui County Governor).

INCREDIBLE VIDEO: You won’t believe what this baby is capable of

Published

on

A Video of the rosy-cheeked toddler pulling herself up climbing walls zipped across the Internet this week, drawing millions of views on Facebook in just a few days.
Her parents, Rachael and Zak Farmer, are competitive climbers who always hoped she’d join in the family pastime. Ellie was climbing with her mother throughout her pregnancy and has been a fixture at their local gym in Flagstaff, Arizona, her entire life.
“She’s really been part of the climbing community since birth,” said Zak Farmer, 31. “When she was first opening her eyes, she was at the gym, seeing climbers climb.”
Ellie was climbing before she could walk and scaled her first wall around 8 months.
“I kind of imagined when I had Ellie that she was going to be this calm baby, and we’d always go hiking in the woods, and she’d watch the butterflies go by,” said Rachael Farmer, 28. “That’s really nice, and we definitely have those moments together, but she is a really active kid.”
Her father built an 8-foot climbing wall in the bedroom beside her crib. (Now, because she’s such an ace climber, it stands beside her toddler bed.) Ellie is typically at the gym with her parents about five days a week, and some of that time is dedicated just to her interests: hanging, gripping and scrambling up kid-size walls.

Photo of Sonko’s daughter with Miraa and wine gets mixed reaction

Published

on

Just like her father, Saumu Mbuvi has brought about mixed reaction after sharing a photo online with Miraa.

Saumu’s dad,  Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, surprised many after sharing a clip enjoying a bunch of Miraa straight from Meru. The photo brought about mixed reaction as many didn’t understand why a governor would do such a thing.

Mbuvi, shared the photo on social media with the drug but it’s not clear if she was taking them.

Mixed emotions

The photo came with a lot of mixed reaction as Kenyans poured out their opinion as usual. While some were interested to see that she was carrying miraa, others rebuked her clamming that the drug is not for women at all.

Eko Dydda’s troubled marriage

Published

on

Kenyan gospel rapper Eko Dydda has finally been exposed by his wife, Cynthia Ayugi, for cheating on her with a friend after months of denial.

Two months ago, the rapper was reported to have kicked his wife and the mother of his two sons out of their home after she confronted him over an affair with another woman.

The rapper however denied the claims by posting a video of himself, his wife and their two sons with the caption:

“Dida ambia wasee wa rumours Psalms 23, What is bound in heaven is also bound on earth.”

DISMISSED RUMOURS

He would later do an interview with Edaily where he once again dismissed the rumours.

“You know me. I cannot dare do all that which is being alleged online. My wife and children are with me and I do not know where the rumour came from,” he said.

But from his wife’s latest claims, it is clear that their marriage is now on the rocks over claims of infidelity.

CHEATING HUSBAND

In a recent post, Ayugi accused her husband of cheating on her with a friend, stating that she is not going to remain silent anymore.

“Breaking someone’s marriage is not Godly. I invited you as a friend, today unasema ambia Eko not to bring me home because love yenu haita grow. It’s not a battle @EkoDydda you don’t have to hide it anymore your ‘Dope’ is free to love you, sometimes it’s healthy to walk away. Na leo ndio ile siku I will not hide it for fame, money. I will stand with the truth and will never lie to people,” she wrote.
