President Uhuru on a social media detox from abusive comments on his posts

Published

on

State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena has revealed how President Uhuru Kenyatta was forced to take time off from social media following a flurry of not so positive comments from the millions of his followers.

Kanze made the revelation during an interview on Radio Maisha on Monday morning.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta’s social media accounts are his personal accounts. He has the right to activate and deactivate them. He has his reasons (for deactivating the accounts) and we have to respect that,” Kanze said.

“That said, I am surprised when the President is on social media, we turn up and abuse him most of the time, but when he deactivates his accounts, we still go about questioning why. It (the abuses) is not proper. We need to respect the President. He receives a lot of respect when he travels out of the country and we should emulate that,” she added.

‘UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS’

President Kenyatta suddenly suspended his social media accounts on March 22, delinking himself with his 3.62 million followers on his @UKenyatta Twitter account and millions more on his Uhuru Kenyatta Facebook page.

At the time, State House Chief of Staff Nzoika Waita also indicated, via his Twitter page, that the President had pulled down his accounts owing to ‘unauthorized access’.

“On account of unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenyatta, Uhuru Kenyatta, all official social media handles for the President have been temporarily suspended to allow for the necessary remedial measures to be undertaken,” he wrote.

Kanze gave little indication as to whether President Kenyatta will be rescinding this decision in the near future.

Kenyan gospel rapper Eko Dydda has finally been exposed by his wife, Cynthia Ayugi, for cheating on her with a friend after months of denial.

Two months ago, the rapper was reported to have kicked his wife and the mother of his two sons out of their home after she confronted him over an affair with another woman.

The rapper however denied the claims by posting a video of himself, his wife and their two sons with the caption:

“Dida ambia wasee wa rumours Psalms 23, What is bound in heaven is also bound on earth.”

DISMISSED RUMOURS

He would later do an interview with Edaily where he once again dismissed the rumours.

“You know me. I cannot dare do all that which is being alleged online. My wife and children are with me and I do not know where the rumour came from,” he said.

But from his wife’s latest claims, it is clear that their marriage is now on the rocks over claims of infidelity.

CHEATING HUSBAND

In a recent post, Ayugi accused her husband of cheating on her with a friend, stating that she is not going to remain silent anymore.

“Breaking someone’s marriage is not Godly. I invited you as a friend, today unasema ambia Eko not to bring me home because love yenu haita grow. It’s not a battle @EkoDydda you don’t have to hide it anymore your ‘Dope’ is free to love you, sometimes it’s healthy to walk away. Na leo ndio ile siku I will not hide it for fame, money. I will stand with the truth and will never lie to people,” she wrote.
