Help at last for girl who walked for 10km daily for months to see dead mum’s body

Compassionate well-wishers have come through for a 20-year-old girl who has been walking 10km almost every single day for the past nine months to see the body of her dead mother.

Maureen Mukulu lost her mother nine months ago but, being the only child and jobless, she was unable to pay Kitengela Sub county Hospital Mortuary a fee of Sh20,000.

“I walked to the morgue every single day hoping that a Good Samaritan would help me bury my mum. I also wanted to know that she is well taken care off there. I just had to make sure that her body is not thrown all over the place,” Maureen told Nairobi News on Wednesday.

Her plight was highlighted by a Twitter user and hours later the tweep announced that the money had been raised.

“ I am happy that I can now bury my mother. I have cleared the pending bill, someone else bought a coffin, and we have paid where she will be buried in Kajiado. The only thing left is her burial cloth,” a relieved Maureen said.

Maureen is now planning for her mother’s burial which is scheduled for June 28, 2019 at a public cemetery in Kajiado.

“To help Maurine, send your contribution to 0748464113 – this is the phone she has with her. She doesn’t have a phone, or line of her own. A well-wisher known to her gave her a small phone and a line to get things moving. The name on M-Pesa will read JOSEPH MUTUNGA MUSAU ✌”

‘I never saw the purpose of living,’ Milly Chebby after hubby Terence Creative cheated

Comedian and money creator Terence Creative and his wife are so much in love after a cheating scandal rocked their marriage in 2019.

Terence cheated with a 19-year-old (by then) environmentalist Anita Soina. The affair blew up and Terence and the lady aired their dirty linen in public.

Anita Soina

The scandal saw the couple trend and in an interview on Upclose with Betty, they talked about it.

When it happened last year, I was so confused, I almost lost it, literally. I never saw the purpose of living. Everyone spreading lies you can’t even explain the truth or tell your side of the story. Actually, what was eating me more is the fact that I couldn’t give my side of the story. I was aware of it before it became public,’ Milly said.

Terence admitted to cheating on his wife and during the interview, he said,

There is one thing I respect about Chebet. A lot of people that have been involved with whatever was happening, they have been involved with Terence Creative. Chebet has always been here for Lawrence Mwangi Macharia. When I was in that corner, gambling, smoking, even when I was a ratchet that nobody would admire – they were not there. I really apologized to her because I betrayed her.

The couple is one of the most trolled online and the mother of one stated that no relationship is perfect.

I want to be very categorical if you call us ‘couple goals’, it is your choice.

Cyprian and Nyamweya were charged with attempting to extort KSh17.5 million from Victoria Commercial Bank (VCB) as a bribe to delete libelous stories they had written on their website; they had already taken KSh1 million as a deposit by the time they were arrested.
