‘She’s 55 years younger than me,’ 82 year old Pastor Deya talks about his lover

Published

on

Controversial pastor Gilbert Deya, who is 82 years old yesterday in a candid interview with Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo opened up about his life.

He is divorced and while talking about his divorce, he said;

We’re divorced. It’s my wife who has divorced me and I’m accepting her decision and have no problem.

He went ahead to explain the divorce saying,

People should know Deya is a divorcee now and I don’t have a wife but I will re-marry. When I was in the United Kingdom, where I stayed for 15 years, I had a romantic relationship with another woman because I had lust every time i saw women walking in the streets and by that time, my ex-wife was back home [Kenya].

Adding,

I even introduced the woman to church but when I wanted to go back to Kenya, trouble started because of her demands, She didn’t want me to go back until I had married her and because of that we broke up. She even lied that I raped her.

The man of God was later jailed and he blames his failed relationship on distance and jail time.

Deya explained how he was jailed at Kamiti prison over the miracle babies scandal and after he was released, his wife didn’t want him back.

I then decided to get another woman here in Kenya and as you know here in Kenyan women are like groundnuts (many) even the government
allows one to have even 50.

Well, Deya, who has been dumped thrice says he has finally found a woman and he is ready to settle down with.

I’ve already engaged someone because I don’t want to be a sinner again. I don’t want to be single again so that mwanamke akipita naangalia matako yake [when a woman passes
near me I look at her behinds].

He added,

Wanaume macho yao inawatesa, hata kama umeokoka macho hayaokoki. [Men have a problem, even if they are saved, their eyes aren’t, they will still ogle at women].

Deya’s wife-to-be is 50 years younger than him. He told Massawe,

She is so beautiful. We met at my church here in Nairobi. She is 27 years old.

Their age gap is 55 years old. The pastor says;

That’s in the line of my liking. I’m old and if I marry someone old we will be two old people so who will cook food?

He added,

I’ve already met her parents and I’m going to pay dowry soon.

Polygamous MP proudly parades his two ‘First Ladies’ during political rally

Published

Nakuru East Member of Parliament, David Gikaria, recently excited a public gathering when he paraded and introduced his two wives to a gathering.

The incident happened during political rally under the ‘Inua Mama’ campaign in the MP’s home turf.

When invited by Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika to ‘greet’ the crowd, Gikaria seized the opportunity to introduce his wives.

“I’m the Nakuru East MP and when one has a wife or wives, he has to acknowledge them. I have several Nakuru Town East First Ladies. Let me introduce them to you,” Gikaria said while beckoning his wives to the podium.

Both wives stepped forward with smiles on their face as they waved to the cheering crowd.

POLYGAMY

“This is Veronica Wairimu, she is the First Lady number one. And this one is Dorcas Wangui, she is also the First Lady number one B. First Lady number one C is not here, but I will bring her here another day,” the MP said while alternately embracing each of his two wives.

Gikaria’s declaration is well within Kenya’s law which allows a man to marry more than one woman.

In 2013, President Uhuru Kenyatta signed into law the Marriage Bill which legalised polygamy.

It brings civil law, where a man was only allowed one wife, into line with customary law, where some cultures allow multiple partners.
