Why Knut officials want Sossion out – VIDEO

Published

on

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) offices are heavily guarded by police officers to block officials from access.

The National Executive Council members had scheduled a Thursday meeting intent on removing the Secretary-General Wilson Sossion from office.

The executives forced their way into Knut House on Mfangano Street but were restrained by the police.

On Wednesday, Mr Sossion had moved to court and obtained an order stopping the meeting of the organisation’s top brass.

Why do teachers want Sossion out?

The officials are dissatisfied with how Mr Sossion has been handling the standoff with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), their employer.

They claim he operates as a lone ranger and does not represent their interests.

Meru Knut branch executive secretary, Caxton Miungi, says Mr Sossion is no longer a teacher after he was deregistered by the TSC.

“We are going to force him out of office today. He cannot continue serving as the Secretary General when the Teachers Service Commission has already deregistered him,” he said Thursday.

“We cannot allow him to continue being the SG yet teachers are suffering,” he added.

His Kisii South counterpart, Victor Ombasa, says Mr Sossion has been running Knut issues without consulting other national officials members.

“Who has given him permission to close the Knut offices?” he posed.

Other issues the Knut officials accuse Mr Sossion of are:

The embattled Knut secretary-general blames the TSC for the ouster plot.

“I am not quitting office, those being used to incite teachers must know that I was legally elected and I cannot be removed through street demonstrations,” he said.

Kenyans react to video of man filmed washing fruits with filthy trench water

Published

on

Netizens have been left dumbstruck after a video emerged online showing a man washing fruits with filthy water inside a trench along a busy road in Nairobi.

The undated video, which went viral on social media on Wednesday, shows the man busy washing the fruits as pedestrians walk by.

What is even startling is that after washing his fruits ‘clean’ and carefully placing them by the roadside, the man then proceeds to wash his feet and sandals with the very same trench water.

The video has left some Kenyans scandalized on realizing that they had at some point bought fruits along the same road and eaten them without washing them.

There are those who insist the man is a hawker and he has in the past been seen washing vegetables and fruits in dirty trenches along city roads.

Others dismissed him as either a street boy or a mad man.

“I think ni street boy nizake zakukula sio za kuuza, wacha kuharibia hawkers soko,” Saloome SOSO commented.

“Hadi nyi watu wote hamwoni huyo ni chokosh hawa digital,” KT 9 said.

“I should be dead by now,” Great Ngugi commented.

“Jesus… No wonder people are ill left right and center,” said terry trizah.

“Kwani hata mwenyewe haoni aibu? Anaona amepata maji ya free😕😕😕😕😕,ndio sababu magonjwa hazitapungua pthooo 😢😢,” Esty 1248 wrote.

“Maybe water rationing currently being experienced in many parts of the city has forced the man to do so,” Festus Chuma commented.

How I got pregnant for my mpango wa kando after years of trying to conceive

Published

on

Women sometimes seek abortion services, especially after engaging in sexual tirades with lovers  without thinking of the repercussions.

Women especially those in marriage have been increasingly seeking these services.

*Veronicah  discovered that her blood sister was having an affair with her husband.

“Whenever my husband went out of town for conferences, my sister would also go for interviews.

When she confronted her husband, their argument snowballed into a physical abuse with the husband threatening to involve Carols parents if she continued with the allegations.”

To avoid bringing shame to the family, Carol dropped the matter but two months later she got the shock of her life after discovering that she was pregnant.

What did she do? You guessed it..abortion.

8cec540fd164450c992fd3c62c55b1d6She adds

“The thought of bringing another child into this disgusting situation was revolting .” she sought the services of a ‘Terminator ‘ in Umoja Estate, a decision she has never regretted.

But what happens in a situation where the woman is being pressured by her spouse to abort? Sad isn’t it?

*Mary on the other hand disclosed that the idea of a termination came from her husband, a matter that threatened their marriage.

“My husband did not share the same dream as I to have a family and settle down.

The news of my pregnancy did not appeal to him and even threatened to leave me if I  kept the baby.

He did not share my dreams and he did not want to be tied down by a baby even though he was financially stable.”

She continues

“Eventually I gave in to his demands, we met a doctor in town and in just 30 minutes my pregnancy was gone.

I do not think that the marriage will ever be the same again. I no longer view him as the same man I idolized.”

Patricia has not yet been able to conceive due to complications that arose after the termination.

”The walls of my womb are too thin and I have already suffered two miscarriages. We are seeking professional help but my husband is fully to blame for this.”

For Nancy Kaloki a stay at home mum, constant quarrels due to childlessness made her seek solace on social media.

“My husband used to allege that multiple abortions during my youth were the reason behind my childlessness.

I found comfort on facebook and before long  I started getting a lot of male attention.

I started going for dates with them and before long I was going to their houses for ‘chats’.

Before long Nancy realized she was expectant

“I couldn’t believe it. I had desperately yearned for a baby for years.

But getting what my heart desired turned out to be a huge mistake I opted to abort.’

Even though Nancy’s husband never found out she is still paying for her mistake as she has never been able to conceive yet her biological clock is ticking, at age 35, she is running out of time.

Women are however not the ones who are to blame as men at times are involved.

*Dr Ken from Eldoret stated that the statistics are true.

‘I AM A DOCTOR FROM ELDORET, WE PASS THROUGH HELL.

YESTERDAY A MARRIED WOMAN AND HER HUSBAND VISITED ME (45 YEARS) SHE HAS 7 KIDS THEY WANTED TO CARRY OUT AN ABORTION ON WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THEIR 8TH CHILD.

SHE WAS FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT. I ASKED THEM WHAT THEY WERE WAITING FOR.

I TOLD THEM TO GO TALK FIRST.
