I had decided to move out anipate mbele.’

Simon who was at the time the sober headed one decided to talk his wife out of that ‘ stupid’ decision something she is forever grateful for.

‘Finally, I was talked to and my husband asked me to get the best interior designer I could get to help me redo our house to my taste.’

Adding,

‘I had signed out all agreements but I was ready to move out with my son eventually I never moved out.
We were living on Kiambu road at the time.’

By JUDITH GICOBI

Celestine Ndinda, aka Wakavinye, wife to Comedian Njugush, has a few words of advice to her fans. She urges them that having a small circle of friends is a wise thing to do, especially if you live in Nairobi.

 Wakavinye has supported her husband since their early days, even before all the fame. Njugush feels lucky to have her as a wife.

The two have sustained same longtime friends and Celestine shares the little secret for that.

She says;

“I have learnt that in life, you need to learn at most five close friends.

 By doing this, be sure that the first three will help you when you are in need.”

She further adds having too many friends also drains you financially

“Imagine all those friends have birthdays and they need you to show up, yaani every time you are planning of how to spend unlike when you have a small circle.”

And there is also societal pressure to have many friends;

“Ata kama umesota, it is hard to communicate that to a big number of people because some will gossip about you and most of them show up when you have a party, but when you are in a problem, you will not have them around,” she said.

She also insists on being yourself, don’t compete

“When you compete with your friends, you will get exhausted. So go with your pace.”

Some of the couple’s long-time close friends include; Abel Mutua and his wife Judy Nyawira, Philip and his wife Cate Actress.

By JUDITH GICOBI

About two years ago, Simon Kabu, the CEO Bonfire Adventures, bought a new Range Rover worth Ksh30million for his wife’s 39th birthday. The gifting of the car brought Nairobi’s central business district to a standstill.

Simon said the wife merited the car as she had always been by his side, plus it was her dream car.

He had gifted Sarah with a Mercedes on her 35th birthday, but he did not publicize it. They were aiming to get a range rover for her 40th birthday.

Instead, the husband gifted her the car on her 39th birthday when she least expected it.

Since the public gifting, things changed for the couple and they were not prepared for the challenges that came with their public display of affection.

“After that, we did not know that would be a problem. Now every slay queen tells him ‘Ooh I want a Vitz. I heard people were asking kwani nimefanya nini ndio aninunulie gari.”

One slay queen wrote to the hubby on new year, “Happy new year, my goal is to go out with you, please make it happen.”

Sarah adds that she has worked hard and never compromised on her values and morals.
