Parents of kids in Mbeere North, Embu County, who fail to join secondary school, will be arrested.

This is a directive by the areas’ Deputy County Commissioner, Mr Siele. The chiefs in the area have been instructed to implement the directive immediately.

“Chiefs should compile a list of children who have not reported to Form One so that their parents can be arrested and prosecuted,”

He reminded the residents that government wants all the pupils who completed their K.C.P.E in 2019 to be enrolled in High School.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta was categorical that all children who did KCPE should be accommodated in high schools and parents should stop joking,” he stated.

He went ahead to say that the Sub-County Director of education had promised to send them new teachers in a week’s time
“They told us they will first post a headteacher then others will follow. The school is doing fine; there is no tension at all.”
So far, eight suspects have appeared in court in connection to Daisy’s murder, one of them being her husband.
