A catholic priest narrowly escaped death after police arrived on time to rescue him after he was busted with a married woman at her husband’s home .

This happened at 4 am on Wednesday in Makueni County.

The man, identified as Father Wesonga Maloba of Gatundu Parish was allegedly busted with Susan Kivuva by her husband Thomas Kimeu Mulwa .

Mr Mulwa who is a businessman, returned home and found a strange car parked outside his house.

On enquiring, their househelp told him that it belonged to a Father.

He  went ahead and called out his wife to open the door for him but she declined.

It looks like Mr Mulwa knew what games the wife had been up to because he was armed.

He  fired four shots at Fr. Maloba’s car’s tyres deflating all them while he was still locked up inside the house with the businessman’s wife..

FIREARM

The area’s assistant chief reported the matter to Kavumbu Police Post prompting officers to come and disarm him.

They then confiscated Mulwa’s Ceska pistol with two empty magazines and 13 bullets.

Makueni police commander Joseph Napeiyian said he had seen the reports but did not have details of the incident.

In this world, there are different types of people who have varied tastes in nearly everything.

While there are people who would splash a lot of money and emotions on cars and other gadgets, some invest the same in pets, why? I do not know.

Well, pet lovers will tell you they love whatever creatures they are taming because they give them protection and reciprocate the love they send their way.

Popular Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco is among the many people across the globe whose love for pets, specifically dogs is out of this world.

Kaley, being a pet lover adopted a dog a couple of months ago and which she had been living with together with her boo for some time.

The actress and her hubby Karl Cook loved the rescue dog which they named Petunia so much and could do almost anything for it.

However, Petunia made the couple a sad pair after dying, unannounced, in a move that really broke the two.

Hurt by the news the couple took to their respective Instagram account to announced their loss and mourn their rescue dog, Petunia.

Taking to her page, Kaley shared a lovely photo of their late dog followed by a short but touching post.

“We love you dear special Petunia! You are the reason we continue to save dogs just like you. And we will never stop.” Kaley wrote.

Her message was echoed by her bae Cook, 29, who jotted a long emotional post dedicated to Petunia.

”After a life of untold loneliness and hardship she is at rest. For that I am happy. We did what we adopted petunia to do better than anyone else, give her everything. She is resting at peace, with every day’s sunset to warm her. That is what matters most. Petunia it is not the amount of time together, but it’s affects on the soul. You affected everyone who met you. You’re forever my old lady I miss you so much already, sleep my sweet angel❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote.

Following their loss, their fans camped on their respective social media pages to condole with them.

The actress and her hubby adopted the late Petunia from Paws For Life K9 Rescue, which as a California organisation that rescues dogs from shelters.

The organisation then trains some of the dogs to become therapy dogs.

Rachel and members of Spin Kings Kenya bikers group on Saturday, November 28, took to the road to cycle in honour of the late Patricia Wangui “Kui” Gitonga.

“Today I cycled in honor of Kui Gitonga, a biker whose life was cut short in a motorcycle accident. During her free time, she was a volunteer road marshal for cycling groups, protecting and ensuring a safe route by directing cyclists,” she posted.

The Kenya Airways employee was cycling along Ngong road on Saturday, November 21, when she rammed into an overlapping saloon car which had reportedly veered off the lane.

“We lost our first ever lady biker to a collision with a recklessly driving maniac who lost control of his speeding car and veered into the path of our sister at a high rate of speed, side swiping and injuring her extensively,” her fellow biking enthusiast Kennedy Marete mourned.

A month ago, a doctor who had urged the government to curb road accidents was killed while cycling on Tuesday, September 27, along Kiambu road.

Alphonce Ogada, a consultant pediatric dentist loved cycling and on that fateful day, the father of two atop his favorite bike when a recklessly driven matatu hit and killed him.

His demise followed that of a fellow cyclist and young engineer Caleb Omwoyo who was on his way home on the evening of Wednesday, September 16, when he met his death.

Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has revealed that he contracted coronavirus and recovered after undergoing treatment.

While addressing mourners in Kirinyaga County on Friday Dr Kibicho said Covid-19 is not a death sentence.

“I tested positive for coronavirus, but I was treated and discharged from hospital,” he said at Gathuthuini Primary School during the funeral service of a local church leader.

“I am a living example. Those who are suffering from the disease should not worry because they will get well,” he said, adding that out of 100 people who contract the disease in Kenya only two succumb to it.

Dr Kibicho advised Kenyans to be tested for the disease because it is curable.

“Kenyans should be tested to know their status so that they can be treated,” he said.

The PS also urged Kenyans not to stigmatise people who have contracted the virus.

“Covid-19 patients should be showed love and not rejection. When the patients are abandoned, they become depressed and may take longer to recover,” he said.

He also underscored the need for everyone to continue observing protocols issued by the Ministry of Health to control the spread of Covid-19.

“People should wear masks, sanitise regularly, wash their hands and avoid crowded places,” he said.

The PS further said that city residents should avoid travel during the holidays.

“If I had power, I would lock Nairobi during the festive season to curb spread of the dis-ease to rural areas,” Dr Kibicho said.
