If you want to eat at my funeral, please carry packed lunch – Akothee

Popular Kenyan singer Esther Akoth aka Akothee has given out a list of instructions she wishes to be followed by her family and fans in the event of her death.

Irked by ‘a few pretentious celebrities’ who have the habit of not supporting their counterparts and only posting and celebrating them after their demise, Akothee ordered that none of them should come to her funeral.

“A celebrity is celebrated more when dead than alive, sad. Let nobody come to my funeral expecting special services. You never paid for a VVIP nor showed up on my concerts and when I am dead, now you want to be recognized as one of Akothee’s supporters. Don’t come,” she wrote.

To her family, Akothee gave instructions on where she would want her body to be viewed and later laid to rest adding that none of her baby daddies will have to fight for her remains.

“I have instructed my family that in an event that I die before them, my body will be viewed at Rakwaro Primary School, so my loyal fans can see me it has a huge space. None of my exes will fight over my body, it’s all sorted.

“Definitely I won’t be buried in Europe, Rongo Nyale, but Jakamagambo rakwaro kacha, if you want to eat in my funeral, please carry your packed lunch, Don’t come to frustrate my family with VVIP,” shared Akothee.

“You never paid for it when I was alive, stick to your lane! My family are not celebrities, they are not the richest female Artist, Akothee has died with the show. Come, mourn, bring gifts, money and presents and leave in peace.”

“We shall all die yes, the internet never forgets so save this one, you are the internet. I would rather have a funeral full of fans and 7 celebrities! Did you know that very few celebrities contribute to Paybills, sijataja mutu mimi call police. Fans is you see any celeb post my RIP on their pages, and they never posted my work, please wake me up haki,” she concluded.

Sankok likens DP Ruto to biblical Samson after fierce BBI speech

Nominated Jubilee party Member of Parliament David ole Sankok on Tuesday 27 October 2020 praised Deputy President William Ruto for standing his ground and outshining his opponents during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

The MP who represents people living with disabilities threw shade at William Ruto’s opponents pointing that the DP’s camp had scored an away goal.

He laughed off at their efforts to pay for live streams in all media houses, professional hecklers, transportation for goons from all quarters, coaching of sycophantic speakers only William Ruto to remain unfazed and drive his point home.

“We scored an away goal. How does it feel if you pay for; live stream in all media houses, professional hecklers, transportation for goons from all quarters, coaching of sycophantic speakers…only for your worst enemy to steal the show, become the talk of the town, and worse still drives his point home politely, smoothly, firmly and deeply like falling snow?,” he said.

He went on to urge William Ruto’s rivals to continue fighting him but he will always remain undefeated.

He went on to compare how he was shouted at while delivering his speech to how the biblical Samson defeated Palestinians.

He added that William Ruto’s allies were proud of their “fifth” President.

“I know it pains but you must persevere because from today henceforth that will be your feelings. We are proud of our “fifth president”.

“It was a one-man army like Samson defeating 500 Palestinians; Ruto defeated not only the snake but also the gentiles. With God everything is possible,” he said.

Waititu ordered to present himself to KNH after skipping court sessions

Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has received a directive from a Nairobi court to present himself at Kenyatta National Hospital.

This follows his lawyers’ sentiments claiming that the accused was ailing.

As per the prosecution’s request, the magistrate allowed Waititu to be checked by three doctors appointed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board (KMPDB). The doctors will afterwards present their report in court.

This comes after reports that the former Kiambu county boss tested positive for the dreaded covid-19 virus.

According to his lawyers, he was admitted at a health facility in Huruma where he was recuperating, which led to the adjournment of a graft case against him.

Although the defence team led by John Sakwa argued that a medical examination on Waititu would infringe on his privacy rights, the state counsel stated otherwise.

The magistrates has directed that a sealed medical report regarding Waititu’s health be presented to him within seven days.

Further, the magistrate ordered Waititu to avail himself in court for the hearing of the Ksh 588 million graft charges against him.

The corruption case that also involves Waititu’s wife Susan Wangari Ndungu failed to kick off on Monday for the third time.
