Kenyans on Friday, August 14 took to social media to express concern after a video of Former Indianapolis Colts player Daniel Adongo in tattered state surfaced online.
The video showed what looked like a shabby-looking Adongo smoking a substance and overall looking like a shadow of his glory days.

According to multiple reports, Adongo is hooked on drugs and is living in-between shelters in the US.

It is largely believed the lineback’s fortunes started taking a turn for the worse in 2015, when he came under criminal investigation over domestic violence.
His team Colts eventually waived his playing time after a police call in December 2015 cost him a place in a crucial game against Jacksonville.
Adongo initially started out as a lock or a flanker, before moving to South Africa in 2007 to join Sharks rugby academy.
He went on to play for South Africa and New Zealand between 2011 and 2013 before trading the sport for the National Football League (NFL) in the US in 2013.

At the time, Adongo was on his way to conquer the world and signed a deal with Colts believed to be worth KSh 216 million.
After switching to American football, he pre dominantly played as an outside linebacker until 2015 when trouble started following him.
A close look at an Instagram handle with Adongo’s name would suggest the linebacker might have possibly joined a cult.
TUKO.co.ke has since reached out to Adongo’s sister in law who strongly distanced her family from the video in question.
“No that’s not Daniel, that is an impostor and we are trying to get the page reported. He is tarnishing Daniel’s image for no reason. People should stop posting these videos,” she told TUKO.
Quizzed on the whereabouts of the player, Roxy appeared evasive. She says the player was in a sports rehab but refused to divulge more details.
“Daniel is in a sports rehab but I am not going to disclose which one. We as the family are hurt by this impostor,” she added.
Adongo has been trending on Kenyan social media from Thursday evening.
