‘I found Pastor Kanyari living with seven other women’ Betty Bayo narrates being in toxic marriage

Gospel singer and ex-wife to controversial Pastor Victor Kanyari has for the first time spoken out about the shocking exposee by KTN’s Jicho Pevu and Inside Story five years ago.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, Betty says she is now healed, learnt her mistakes and can speak about it.

The two met briefly and withing no time, Betty says she was a wife to Pastor Kanyari.

“I met him after visiting his church and both of us were in troublesome relationship,” she said adding that she was in her early 20’s.

The Busy Busy hitmaker says she found herself married to Kanyari after her then boyfriend failed to show up at her home yet she had informed her mother about his coming.

“We opened up to each other after meeting and I jokingly asked him to replace the man who had failed me and he agreed,” she said. “I was so afraid of what I would tell my mum. I did not know how to handle that rejection.”

Betty BayoThis was barely two weeks after meeting. When Kanyari visited Betty’s mum as the alleged boyfriend, young Betty told her mum that was the man she wanted to marry.

“I did not know him well, even his real names. It was not about his money but I was naive,” she said.
” I learnt through that. I did not want a wedding but he wanted. I feared a wedding so much so we moved together in 2011.”

At the early days, Betty says Kanyari did not have a problem with her missing service at his church but asked her to be telling people that they held a church wedding at Pastor Nganga’s church.

Betty says that after moving in with her ex, she felt insecure as he was living with seven other people in the same house.

“There were so many ladies. I met people who had stayed there for even five years,” she said.
“So as a young girl, there was no problem and so I joined in. These girls would come randomly even at night in our bedroom. There was no privacy at all and I started complaining and I ran away while I was pregnant.”

Kanyari’s mother came at her home and pleaded with her to return to her house which she did. Unfortunately, nothing changed.

“He could sleep on the sofa. I persevered and finally welcomed my daughter,” she said.
According to Betty, not once did he ever ask about my pregnancy journey. She was supposed to book appointments to speak to him.

“I would ask to talk to him in the morning and he would tell me he is busy every day for months. We could not discuss anything.”

Betty recounts buying clothes of her daughter on the streets after giving birth.

“I did not have a say in that house, I would fight with these ladies until I became tired. They were the one who would choose for him which clothes to wear.”

Betty BayoBetty added that a time Kanyari complained that she was bad claiming the church ladies had stopped coming to his church.

“You are behaving wifely and now they have stopped coming to my church,” she said.
“He told me his church was losing followers and I told him since I was also earning, I would support his ministry but he despised my hustle saying artistes don’t earn.”
Betty started going to his church but stopped at some point after she felt uncomfortable.

“One of the things is he would force me to give force information in the church,” she said adding that they disagreed and warned him against something he was doing.

She says Kanyari’s mum offered to even pay her sh30,000 per week if only she supported the ministry.

“I refused the offer and she said I should not be given money if I don’t go to church.”
Betty fell into depression as she was also earning but all the money she supported him.
“I gave him millions of my money buy the much he has ever given me was sh 10,000,” she said.

Betty went to visit some friends in the UK and that was when she started reviewing her life and after coming back, she rented her house.
Five months later after coming home from an event, she opened her phone and received lots of messages.

” That was during the exposee on KTN. I told God to heal me from the whole saga,” she said adding that she was insulted for someone who had cost her life.
“I was forced to speak about things I don’t know. I could not judge him that he was stealing because it was his normal life,” she said.

During one of the interviews, Betty says he sent her a message asking her who she was representing in that interview.

“The public wanted me to answer as a wife but the person I was speaking about was not even in my life,” she said.

Betty says the reason she decided to open up is to encourage someone else.

“Being a celebrity we also make mistakes. Marriage works and its a beautiful thing. I am currently dating and will speak about it when the right time comes.”

“I got kicked out from home,” Bien’s brother Melvin painfully admits facing great rejection and resentment from their father

Sauti Sol’s Bien-Aime Baraza’s eldest brother, Melvin has come out to reveal how his father rejected him at a very tender age.

The eldest of the three boys of the Baraza family took to his social media page to tell his story as a child, growing up without the foundation of a father’s love who was present but with no love towards him.

Sharing a sweet photo with one of his daughters lying on his back, Melvin attested that a father’s love is the foundation of his children. A love through which the young ones build on and are able to face storms the world throws at them.

The sad narrative

However, that was never the case of his childhood.

I grew up facing great rejection and resentment from my father. I was fearful, felt unworthy and for the better part of my childhood longed for his affirmation, painfully narrated Melvin.

Unfortunately, the more he kept seeking affirmation from his father, the more it got worse.

…it only got worse to the point of being kicked out of the home I knew at the tender age of 17,” he continued.

Looking back, it is not the tears or the pain he underwent that matters, but the lessons his childhood taught him that have seen him become a present and loving father to his 6 children. Because for him, breaking the curse of rejection is what matters most!

Today God has blessed me with 6 children whom I love with my life, an opportunity to break the curse of rejection and change the narrative.

Beautiful Anita Nderu leaves Team Mafisi confused after declaring that she is a member of LGBTQ Community

Kenyan media personality Anita Nderu has sparked mixed reactions online after announcing she is a member of the LGBTQ community.

Nderu, a former presenter at Capital FM, revealed this through a post on her Twitter page on Thursday, saying she hopes her kids will not be subjected to what she has gone through for being LGBTQ.

“I hope my kids never have to go through what I have gone through for being LGBTQ+,” Anita wrote.

Her announcement comes weeks after she came under heavy criticism from social media users for hosting two gay men on her YouTube show. Anita later defended her show, saying her guests were only friends who decided to show their real selves.

In July this year, Nderu said she would not apologise for hosting members of the LGBTQ community on her cooking show, ‘The overdressed cook’.

The video, which was meant for viewers over the age of 18, caught the attention of many, which led to her trending for days.

Speaking to Massawe on Radio Jambo, Anita said she respects people’s opinions but she will not apologise.

She said she has always been open about different things happening around, and so this being pride month, she decided to invite some of her friends on the show.

“I simply asked my friends to come on my web show and be themselves. What any of us have chosen to do on the show is how each of us is. Nothing about my show is scripted. What you see from the guests, food to outcome is what actually genuinely took place,” she said.

Anita has not been secretive about being a staunch supporter of Kenyan lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) persons.

“As people, we should celebrate our differences, encourage authenticity & wonder at the diversity of humanity. We all have a right to love and be loved. Have an amazing day,” she added.

Here is why people think I am gay, Kenyan woman opens up

The Kenyan woman had been rumored to be a lesbian for a long time but no one was quite sure whether that was indeed true.

Not that being gay ia an unusual or a new thing. However, a lot of eyebrows are still being raised when it comes to the issue perhaps because homosexuality is considered an illegal activity in Kenya

Sometime in October 2017 Patricia Kihoro was rumored to have been caught pants down in a lesbian threesome with some other Kenyan women.

But now the Popular Vlogger, actress and singer says her efforts to keep her love life private was the sole reason that led to speculations that she was lesbian.

At the time, it was reported that Kihoro was in a relationship with a well-known female Kenyan rapper and as well as another female media personality.

But the 34-year-old says she has always dated men but kept her relationships low key, which explains why people started speculating she was playing for the other ‘team’.

“For the longest time, I was dating men. If you go through my Instagram over the years I didn’t even hide. I would post people but it wasn’t like lovey-dovey stuff, if you were keen you would see who I was dating at the time. I would post them in the context that this is somebody in my life but I wouldn’t reveal in what way they are in my life. I think of how private I kept that side of my life, people then speculate, start to make up things,” Kihoro said.

Kihoro shot into the limelight back in 2009 when she took part in the singing competition Tusker Project Fame 3 where she was among the finalists.

She later landed a job as a presenter for Homeboyz Radio and also ventured into acting. Over the years she has also been a very active YouTube vlogger and brand influencer.

“I have been accused of being a lesbian but first of all, it is not an accusation, because calling me a lesbian is not an insult as I have met wonderful human beings who are homosexual and are far better than people who have stood in certain standards of judging others.

So that is why I never speak about it. I am who I am, you know! I know what I stand for and my family knows what I stand for,” said Patricia.

Patricia further revealed that her mother has been very supportive of her work and opinion. She reveals that her first interaction with gay people was courtesy of her mother.

“My mother has supported my work from the start and she always respects my opinion. The first people I ever met who were openly gay were friends of my mum. I was probably 16 years and she didn’t make a big deal about it, and therefore I also did not learn that was a big deal,” revealed Patricia.
