Vera Sidika addresses alleged relationship with Burna Boy

Kenyan socialite and beautypreneur, Vera Sidika has finally cleared the air on her alleged relationship with Nigerian singer Burna Boy.

In a recent interview with on #BongaNaJalas, Ms Sidika who was asked if she was dating the singer said it was not true, and that Burna Boy has a girlfriend.

“Is it true that you are dating Burba Boy?” Asked Jalang’o.

“I’m not dating Burna Boy. He has a girlfriend. Its not true. How did you even end up asking me that question?” responded Vera who wondered where the question came from.

Jalang’o then explained that the story was out there with reports all over that the two were a couple, remarks she said should only be treated as rumours, because rumours will always be there.

“The story was out there. There’s a time everybody talked about it. A few blogs wrote about it if you just google Vera-Burna Boy it will just come. There were rumours left right and centre,” said Jalang’o.

Ms Sidika added that, “Rumours are always rumours, and will always be rumours.”

Reports of Burna Boy and Vera Sidika dating surfaced after the two were spotted at the same gun range in Los Angeles, California in the United States, and later on spotted at the same Mini race car place.

During this time, there were rumours that Burna Boy had parted ways with his girlfriend Stefflon Don.

Despite Vera and Burna having been spotted on the same locations on the same day, at no point did they appear in the same picture.

Devastating: Tributes pour in for journalist Edwin Audi killed in road crash

The death of KTN news director killed in a car crash involving three vehicles, two trailers and a Toyota Probox on the Nairobi-Namanga highway has left his loved ones devastated.

Edwin Audi was in the company of four friends on Saturday when their vehicle collided with a trailer head-on near Maili Saba killing him on the spot.

Kajiado Central police boss Daudi Loronyokwe said two people were killed during the crash that involved multiple of vehicles

According to the police report, the car, a Toyota Probox, tried to overtake a truck when it collided with an oncoming trailer.

“The driver of the Probox tried to avoid hitting the trailer which was ferrying timber to Kajiado but hit the front side of the trailer prompting it to veer off the road before landing in a ditch. As a result, one of the passengers died on the spot.”

The other four occupants sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital after the Saturday evening crash.

Journalists mostly his colleagues at KTN took to their social pages to mourn their departed colleague.

Kiswahili anchor Zubeidah Koome eulogised Audi as one of the most talented and thorough news directors, describing his work ethos as top-notch and meticulous.

“One of Kenya’s greatest News Directors, very talented, thorough, professional, all the assignments we’ve gone for were full of fun, and your news directing-Top notch,” she wrote on her Facebook.

“Just the other day you were about to start our show Kioo cha Hoja, the montage was already on air, all over a sudden you asked me, are you okay, are you ready to start the show, I said no and immediately you took a break, even without saying you were able to tell I wasn’t settled, that’s how perfect you were I will surely miss you, my friend and colleague, we all will RIP my brother It is well, till we meet again. May God comfort your family,” she added.

Another colleague, Mwangi Maina described Audi’s death like a bad dream, adding that he was humble and kind.

“Shine on your way my friend Edwin Audi. It feels like a bad dream, death is cruel. A very easy, humble and kind guy. Heartbreaking! RIP Audi.”

KTN reporter Mark Namaswa eulogised Audi as a friendly and calm character in the newsroom.

“I don’t know what to say. You were one friendly news director, very calm under pressure, and equally relaxed away from work. Shine on your way, brother. Till we meet again.”

“Edwin Audi,,,,,maan it is unbelievable. Rest easy bro, till we meet again. We have lost a cool guy, a cool News Director just like that.” Said Jared Ontobo, another colleague at KTN news production.

Audi formerly worked for Nation Media group’s now-defunct QTV before moving to KTN.

Likoni floating bridge to be ready in 6 weeks – KeNHA

Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) will complete the Likoni floating bridge by mid-November.

KeNHA said in a communique that all the steel material structures have been assembled, making it possible for the works to be completed ahead of time, KeNHA Director General Peter Mundinia confirmed the new forecast.

“We will complete the floating bridge construction ahead of schedule”, Mundinia said.

He said it was the mission and vision of KeNHA to move ahead of schedule, adding that their projects are enablers of the economy hence the need for quick turnaroune.

Mundinia said the Nairobi Expressway was progressing well and will also be completed ahead of schedule.

The Director-General said local engineers had been offered subcontracts as part of the Presidential directive to generate employment to locals.

“HE the President has issued directives on youth and professional engagements in the project which we are fully adhering to,” Engineer Mundinia said.

Nyashinski speaks on life in US as truck driver

Kenyan rapper Nyashinski has recalled how he had it tough after he quit music and his family relocated to the United States of America.

During a sit-down with Nairobi County Senator Johnson Sakaja, the Tuendelee Tusiendelee rapper revealed that he quit music to become a truck driver something that was hectic and lonely as most of the time he was on the road for long hours, with only a few minutes to interact with people.

“Nilikuwa nishaachana na ngoma…2006 mpaka 2016 (10 years). Nilienda Steto na nilikuwa naendesha Lorry…nilikuwa naendesha Lorry nikitry ku-survive juu tuli-relocate wote as a family.

“The first two years I was in Delaware, alafu the last 8 years nikahamia Michigan. Hiyo experience ilikuwa noma na nili-learn nayo vitu mob. Kuna vitu mbili zenye zilihappen zenye naonanga ni life changing,” he said.

He disclosed that before he moved with his family to the USA he was already a shining star in the Kenyan music scene as he was doing what he loves.

He added that he went from being a star to a normal person who had to work hard to put food on the table as there were no favors in the US as no one knew him.

“Before nitoke hapa nilikuwa a star. Tulikuwa maceleb and we were doing what we Love. So you come from being a star, getting a bit of favors here and there to a place where no one knows you, hakuna special treatment, Lazima uwork, kama huwork haukuli na labda si kazi unapenda necessarily,” added Nyashinski.

He explained that long-distance driving was lonely as he only had 10 to 15 minutes of interacting with people.

However, he added that he always wanted to live a normal life and that was the good side of relocating to the United States of America.

The rapper and his wife Zia Bett were recently welcomed their firstborn child whom he revealed is a boy.
