Online Kenyans are attempting to ascertain Samidoh, a Mugithii singer, at what age his wife Edday Nderitu wed him.
This is after Edday came out guns blazing regarding her husband’s extramarital fling with senator Karen Nyamu.
Edday bemoaned how much her marriage has suffered as a result of the singer’s friendship with Senator Karen Nyamu, who has been nominated, in a Facebook post.
She even made a suggestion that their relationship with the Mugithii maestro might be coming to an end.
“It has been exactly 15 years of marriage full of ups and down, it was humble beginning where little was enough for us, for the last 3 years it has been nothing but pain, I have remained faithful to you regardless of disrespect, humiliation and being trolled on social media,” reads part of Edday’s Facebook post.
Photos that the senator shared showing Edday and the Mugithii singer among other guests at the burial of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s sister-in-law were what incited Edday’s outrage.
But what has caught the attention of the online community are statements that Edday made regarding the age disparity between her and Ms. Nyamu while taking into account the length of time she claims to have been married to the musician.
“I have said to you and I am saying here again I will not raise my kids in a polygamy family, especially with a woman who is older than me by more than 10yrs…” she wrote in the same post.
Ms. Nyamu was born on January 1, 1987, making her age 36, according to a quick Internet search. Furthermore, Edday is only 26 years old right now if the senator is in fact 10 years elder than him.
Which raises the question: If Edday and Samidoh were married 15 years ago as she claims, at what age did they actually get hitched? Or did she truly get married at the incredibly young age of 11? Did she make a math error?
