Kenyans have been wondering what happened to musician-turned-politician Kevin Kioko alias Bahati, who has been silent after losing his bid to become the MP for Mathare in the general election on August 9.

After the elections ended, Bahati disappeared from social media for nearly two months without making a single post, even going so far as to delete all of his earlier Instagram entries.

A few weeks ago, after posting a mysterious message on her official Instagram account asking for prayers and possibly implying that things were not perfect, his wife, lifestyle YouTuber Diana Marua, also did the same.
However, late on Monday, Bahati announced on Instagram that he would finally be speaking out on Tuesday.

“It’s Time… He wrote, “Tomorrow 12pm… #BahatiSpeaks!!!

He returned to the social media site on Tuesday morning and posted a video with the caption, “At times a man has to say something….”

But instead of giving a speech, he simply released a new song called “Mambo ya Mhesh.”

Over 7,000 people watched the film live during the debut, and it has received over 98,000 views as of the time just after it was released.
