Tanzanian singer Benard Paul Mnyang’anga, alias Ben Pol has filed for a divorce from his Kenyan wife and Keroche heiress Anerlisa Muigai.
According to Tanzanian blogger Millard Ayo, the singer initiated the process at a court in Mwanzo, Dar Es Salaam.
The cause of the divorce still remains unknown.
Benpol married Anerlisa at the end of May 2020 at St.Gaspar Catholic Church, located in Mbezi Beach, Tanzania.
The couple only invited close fríends and family members to witness their union.
In January, Ben Pol for the first time shared details of their secretive wedding and alleged breakup.
“Tulifunga ndoa mwezi wa tano hapa hapa Tanzania, Mbezi, Dar-es-Salaam. Watu wetu wa karibu walikuwa wanafahamu. Sisi tunadhani ndoa ni kitu cha kifamilia zaidi na ndio sababu tulifanya kimya kimya,” Ben Pol said.
Anerlisa clarified on the breakup rumors that emerged after the lovebirds deleted a number of their photos together on their social media platforms.
“Hatujawahi kuachana wala kupeana likizo hata siku moja tangu tuanze mahusiano. Yale yalikuwa ni maneno ya kutengenezwa na watu wasiotujua vizuri wala mahusiano yetu,” said Anerlisa.
