Carol Radull, a seasoned sports writer, claims she is not hiring.
According to Radull, her phone hasn’t ceased ringing since Ababu Namwamba, the Sports Cabinet Secretary, named her Chairperson of the Sports Technical Committee.
“Most of those calling me are asking for jobs, something I can’t promise because I don’t have the authority to do so,” she said.
The committee was established to create a framework that will assist in the monetisation of sports and subsequently increase job opportunities in the industry. Radull, whose career spans more than 15 years, was chosen to lead the committee.
Members of the committee include among others retired Harambee Stars player Boniface Ambani, former javelin world champion Julius Yego and retired football player and administrator Sammy Shollei.
