A search planned to look for missing 17 year old Yaron Kathuri, did not yield much. Kathuri was last seen in Douglasville, Georgia, driving a 1998 Lexus and sporting a white NASA hoodie and black jeans.
The last successful trace was the location of a Lexus he was using.
The teenager from Kenya hasn’t been in touch for a few days, and his phone is currently off.
The vehicle was discovered abandoned at a mall parking lot on Friday, according to the family’s announcement.
The police informed his son’s father, Andrew Kathuri, that his son’s phone had been pinged at the mall on Thursday, 29.
Kathuri is around 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 123 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.
His parents are working to be upbeat in the meantime. They are requesting assistance from the neighborhood to return him home.
Around the location where the automobile was found on Saturday, a search was done.
Yaron’s father claimed that his son had recently struggled with suicide thoughts and depression.
“He had texted his friends. He said that ‘I’m sorry’. That he’s ‘tired of life’,” his father said.
Forty-eight hours before he went missing, his family were attempting to check him into a mental health facility, they said.
“I know he’s fearful, because when he called and said he was letting us down,” said Kathuri.
But the facility they took their son told them it was at capacity and Yaron would need outpatient treatment.
“I would say if he was admitted — because he was really adamant about getting medication — that maybe it could have calmed down his fears about what he was going through,” Kathuri said.
Anyone who sees him or has information on his whereabouts is requested to contact Douglasville Police at 470-393-9309 or Yaron’s dad at 678 914 9546. They can also call 911 or the closest police station.
