On March 11, 2023, a car accident in Maasai Mara claimed the lives of two international tourists, a German and a Swiss national.
Police spokesperson Resla Onyango confirmed the event and stated that the two perished after their tour vehicle ran off the road and rolled numerous times.
Five people were in the car at the moment, three of them German and two of them Swiss.
The German national passed away instantly, but the other Swiss national died from his wounds later.
Three additional people still have wounds. The wounded were flown to Nairobi for medical attention.
“Preliminary investigations show the vehicle rolled after it had been stuck in the mud. We are investigating the unfortunate incident,” Resla said.
The corpse of the immediately deceased German national was transported to the Lee Funeral home in Nairobi.
