A video of an aggressive argument between a foreigner and security personnel at AdLife Plaza in Kilimani, Nairobi county, went viral on social media on Wednesday morning, August 3.
Journalist Saddique Shaban posted a video of the foreigner insulting two security guards before more people arrived to step in and detain him.
The foreigner was knocked to the ground but fought back, trying to kick the security personnel in an effort to escape.
Unknown female companion rushed to the foreigner’s assistance, pushing the guards aside and attempting to get him out of the altercation.
The foreigner gets to his feet and says, “I want you one-on-one,” to the guards.
The woman moved in front of the guard in an unsuccessful attempt to dissuade them from hitting him more.
As soon as a uniformed police officer arrived, they restrained the foreigner. A crowd of onlookers who had gathered at the scene at the time objected to the foreigner’s comments and wanted to attack him.
After the foreigner was hauled into custody and handcuffed, calm was restored.
Shaban reported that the couple had just left a club in the plaza following a fun-filled evening. After breaking a glass of sauce, they threw a fit when asked to pay for the broken item.
