Detectives have arrested four suspects in connection with the cold-blooded murder of Joseph Kariuki , a Juja-based medic on November 24.
Mr. Kariuki was lured to his death by people claiming to have emergency case.
It is reported that among the suspects is Kariuki’s former girlfriend and three men believed to have been contracted to execute the clinical officer inside his private medical clinic at Riuriro area in what police believe was a case of a love gone sour.
According to Richard Mwaura, the Juja Sub-County Directorate of Criminal Investigations Officer, the four were arrested separately in Nyeri and Kirinyaga counties on Friday by crime busters who were monitoring them using modern technology.
“Two of the suspects were boda boda operators based in Nyeri town while the third accomplice was a taxi driver in the same area. We have the intelligence to show they were contracted to eliminate the medic,” Mwaura said.
