Safaricom has introduced radical changes that have affected how customers use their service.
For instance, the telco is now compelling customers to redeem their Bonga Points that are older than three years.
The company will also not roll over Postpay minutes anymore (only data will be rolled over).
The telco has also been at the forefront in lobbying for the return of bank to mobile money charges and vice versa, which it has done successfully because the charges will be here from 2023.
It also introduced data caps on Home Fibre in a move to tame resellers, which remains to be one of its most controversial decisions to date.—
