Residents of Kitengela have been left in shock after following an incident in which a woman stabbed her two-year-old child to death, dismembered the body and fed on the remains.
Glory Njeri’s mother, Olivia Naseren, 24, a fourth-year commerce student at a nearby institution, is accused of killing the kid after she split with the child’s father.
In a shocking occurrence that infuriated the locals, the mom is alleged to have sliced her infant into pieces before eating the intestines and kidney.
The young mother was found assaulting her daughter viciously while singing nursery rhymes when the neighbors who had heard the child’s screams ran to the house, thinking there had been a burglary.
The terrible incident was caught on camera by neighbors who unsuccessfully attempted to break down the door.
The toddler was already dead and the young mother was unconscious when the neighbors broke down the door and entered the home.
The young mother’s parents, who reside in the same home, were reportedly not home at the time of the occurrence, according to the neighbors.
Police stated that after questioning the woman who was taken to a nearby hospital and learning the reason for the homicide, she will be charged.
David Shani, the outgoing Kitengela OCS, confirmed the incident and stated that the police are investigating whether the murder was premeditated.
“The remaining parts of her child are at the Kitengela sub-county hospital mortuary. The case is being handled by the DCI,” Shani said.
