Today is President William Ruto’s 56th birthday. The Head of State, who won the general election on August 9, 2022, is the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya and is now serving his first term.

The late Daniel Cheruiyot and Mrs. Sarah Cheruiyot’s son is President Ruto. Mrs. Rachel Ruto is his wife.

On this day, Kajiado County’s Ngong Hills will host the start of a significant tree-planting program led by President Ruto.

Two months ago, the Head of State asked Kenyan to ensure that they plant trees whenever their children are celebrating their birthdays.

“Every parent should plant 100 trees for their child during birthday celebrations. We are facing a severe drought that has never been witnessed in 40 years as a result of climate change,” President Ruto said.

First Lady Rachel Ruto led Kenyans in wishing the Head of State a happy birthday with a loving message to her husband.
