Wendy Kimani, a Kenyan musician based in the Netherlands has revealed how tough it was for her to conceive due to PCOS.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age.

In a post, Ms Kimani said:  The infertility journey is brutal But doesn’t have to be a life sentence. I still remember that day I found out I was pregnant with my little man Taji, It of course didn’t sink in because why would it.

I had a whole year worth of stress and negative tests that led to this one.

She encouraged other women going through the same that there was hope even when the road looks dark and lonely.

Women with PCOS may have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods or excess male hormone (androgen) levels.
