I look after my sheep in the morning before going to work– Justina Wamae

By Wanja Waweru

Former Roots Party Deputy Presidential candidate Justina Wamae has revealed that to supplement her income in these tough economic times, she has turned into rearing sheep.

Wamae in an interview with a local online publication said after breakfast, she and her husband take their sheep out to feed.

“I do not want them to just feed on bought feed, so they eat grass first, for around two hours,” she said.

“We graze the sheep in our compound together with my husband. We take this time to bond and talk about our issues,” explained Wamae.

Wamae also that motherhood to her has been a very humbling journey as she used to be very perfect and cautious before getting her first child.

“I got my daughter when I was almost turning 32. I was very cautious with her. But through it all, she has taught me much. Motherhood has taught me a lot. I have learnt to be more accommodative and loving,” said Wamae.
