Mandera county executive member in charge of finance, Ibrahim Barrow, is the latest victim to succumb to the deadly COVID-19 disease, which has ravaged the country and the world.

Mandera governor Ali Roba confirmed the county official’s death in a statement on Friday, March 19, morning.
Roba described the deceased as a disciplined member of staff who was committed to delivering on his job.
“Early this morning, we lost our brother Ibrahim Barrow Hassan to COVID-19. Ibrahim has been the CEC for finance and economic planning for the last eight and a half years in Mandera county government.
Barrow was a discipline and dedicated staff who transformed financial management at the county with a very special commitment to deliver results,” Roba said in a statement.
The county boss asked Kenyans to strictly adhere to COVID-19 protocols to avert more loss of lives.
“COVID-19 is real. Please help us manage it by taking committed personal responsibility as advised by the Ministry of Health,” he added.
