Polycarp Igathe, a former candidate for governor of Nairobi, will start working for Tiger Brands, a company based in Johannesburg, on December 1 2022.
He is coming back to Tiger Brands, where he previously held the position of managing director of the company’s East Africa division before leaving to join the British oil company Vivo Energy.
Igathe has significant commercial competence, as well as marketing, sales, strategy, and business leadership expertise from multi-geography leadership roles across Africa, according to a statement from the South African organization.
“I look forward to the diverse set of capabilities and knowledge of the continent that Polycarp will bring to driving the execution of our ambitious growth strategy for the Rest of Africa,” Tiger Brands CEO Noel Doyle said.
