Janet Mbugua, renowned media personality, has filed for divorce from her spouse, Eddie Ndichu. The ex-couple’s case is still pending in court. They had two children during their marriage.
Janet’s sister, Sharon Mbugua, reminisced about her sister’s love relationship with Eddie Ndichu, Sharon described Janet as a go-getter during the debut of Janet’s podcast. Sharon is a mental health advocate who prefers to keep her personal life private. She is a member of Kenya’s Mental Health Association.
“Other than being proud of Janet, I am inspired and challenged by her resilience because ever since she has not looked back,” she said.
Sharon, like her older sister, was taken aback when she learned Eddie had proposed to Janet.
“Eddy had been in and out of her life. I remember the first time I saw him was during a farewell party at KTN, when she was going to South Africa,” she said.
“When she was there (South Africa), I learnt they connected, and later, they started dating.”
Janet apparently put Eddie on the spot since he apparently had a reputation with women, according to Sharon. “Janet really tried to ask about such and other things because, how would she know for sure?”
Eddie persuaded Janet enough to win her heart, according to Sharon, and he even went out of his way to prove himself.
“The first day he came home and he had engaged her out of Nairobi, and they were sitting together and he was like, she is engaged,” she said.
“I remember being surprised because, yes, they had been together and had dated, but that step was a surprise.”
Sharon added that as a family, they later changed their tune and assisted her in planning her wedding. “We helped with invitations and started planning for her wedding. But I can say, it was more of a surprise.”
Janet and Eddie Ndichu married in a colorful ceremony at Chaka Ranch in Nyeri county in 2015. Their relationship supposedly collapsed a few years ago.
