Damarie Kalonzo, the daughter of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, is carrying on her father’s illustrious legacy by pursuing an extraordinary career in the UK legal community.
Damaris Musenya’s father started his own legal practice in the early 1980s, and this served as inspiration for her career path in the UK.
Right now, Kalonzo’s daughter works with Rights and Security International (RSI) as a Global Human Rights Assistant.
She became affiliated with this group in February of 2023.
She is principally responsible for the important duty of scrupulously recording cases in which violations of human rights are committed in the name of maintaining national security.
Within the group, Damarie also researches various national security laws in developing countries in the Caribbean, Latin America, and Africa.
The accomplished PhD candidate was employed by Leeds University as a lecturer before taking on her current employment.
In this role, she supported the academic development of second-year law students by teaching them the fundamentals of research.
It’s noteworthy that she attended the UK college, which has a long history stretching back to its founding in 1874, to complete her undergraduate studies.
As she has been in this post since September 2021, Damarie is well-known for helping many students get ready for their theses and dissertations.
Her work history also includes a period of time spent as a Communications and Programs Associate with Amnesty International Kenya.
