Ivy Chelimo, Kenyan content creator, disputed being given round-the-clock security protection by a specialized police unit from the office of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The creator of “Riggy G,” who met Gachagua on Monday, October 17, additionally denied rumors that she had been granted a substantial salary, benefits, and other perks.
“He asked me what I wanted and also inquired if I could be interested in joining the communication team. I really needed a job to pay my bills as I had just finished University,” Chelimo told Youtuber Vincent Mboya.
“It was my first time boarding a military chopper, and somehow, I felt tense because of the protocols involved while moving around with the Deputy President,” she added.
According to Chelimo, Gachagua had intentions to empower youths in many regions, aligning with her ideals.
She went on to say that the Office of the Deputy President intended to hire comedian KK Mwenyewe, who became famous over night for imitating Gachagua.
“I want to thank the Deputy President for the opportunity you gave me to grow my wings. Thank you for the initiatives you have put in place for the youth.
“We pray by the end of five years, your agenda for the youth will come to fruition,” Chelimo remarked.
