After being found guilty of murder, a Kenyan man got sentenced to life in prison in the United States of America.
The Kenyan was convicted of the murder of an 81-year-old woman, according to numerous US reports.
Judge Raquel ‘Rocky’ Jones handed down the verdict on Friday, April 29. The 41-year-old was sentenced to life behind bars without the prospect of release on parole.
While posing as an employee at a retirement center in Dallas, the Kenyan man, who is said to be from Eldama Ravine in Baringo County, was indicted on 18 counts of murder.
In addition, he was suspected of stealing cash, jewelry, and other items from other victims in the United States.
On March 20, 2018, the Kenyan man reportedly murdered the woman, according to the court. A set of keys and jewelry box places him at the crime scene.
Judge Jones heard that, from the suspect’s car, police seized multiple items, including keys, jewelry bags, and a Kenyan passport.
A lawyer for the Kenyan citizen, on the other hand, criticized the decision.
“We respect the verdict of the jury. I don’t just agree with it,” the lawyer stated.
The victim’s family was relieved to hear the news, claiming that justice had finally been delivered.
In 2003, he moved from Kenya in search of work to the United States. His sister ran an old people’s home at the time where he got his first job.
Between 2014 and 2016, it was reported that he had a falling out with his sister and began doing home service.
