On October 1, Kenyan attorney Miguna Miguna acknowledged a fundraiser intended to support his upcoming return home.
Kenyans were asked to make donations freely in support of Miguna’s return through the campaign called Justice For Miguna is Justice for all Kenyans.
Even if there were doubts about the drive’s sincerity and motivation, the exiled lawyer recognized the effort and said that it was a demonstration of integrity and honesty.
Miguna was responding to a tweep questioning the purpose of the fundraising, claiming that the lawyer had enough resources to travel and that the fundraiser was thus a sham.
The lawyer defended the fundraising effort by pointing out that he had lost more than three million shillings in his unsuccessful attempts to return to Kenya.
On Wednesday, September 28, the outspoken attorney stated that he will be arriving in Kenya on October 20.
He has consistently stated his confidence about going back to Kenya four years after he was controversially deported to Canada.
