Kiambu: Businessman admits to killing lover

A Kiambu businessman has admitted to killing his lover, Catherine Nyokabi.

According to reports, Evans Karani told police officers that he committed the heinous act and did not regret a thing.

The suspect also narrated how he murdered Nyokabi ans dumped her body in a thicket on Wednesday night, April 14.

Karani told detectives he killed Nyokabi on grounds that she was seeing someone else.

On the fateful night, Karani told detectives that she invited Nyakobi so that they could talk and solve their in deferences with the suspect even buyinfher favourite wine.

The suspect reportedly drunk with his now deceased lover in her car and when he realized she was drunk, Karani struggled her with his belt.

He later drove to Tola Estate to dump the body, but his car got stuck in mud near Bob Harris area.

He is said to have chopped up the body before attempting to cover it with mud – and hoping that it would get eaten by wild animals.
