The board of the Health NGOs Network (HENNET) has today announced the appointment of Ms. Margaret Lubaale as the new HENNET Executive Director.
This follows the exit of the Network’s boss Dr. Mercy Onsando to pursue other career aspirations.
Margaret has over 20 years of strategic and programmatic experience in the management of development programs across Kenya. Before joining HENNET, Margaret worked for Winrock International, Child Fund International, Pathfinder International, and Plan International, amongst other organizations.
Over 20 years, she has provided strategic leadership and direction to various teams in areas ranging from RMNCAH and HIV to education, water, sanitation and hygiene, prevention of sexual and gender-based violence, and child protection.
Margaret brings to HENNET programmatic and operational experience from years of working with multiple donors in the management of large multi-sectoral and integrated programs.
Margaret has strong networking and partnership skills and a good understanding of the development sector in Kenya. Margaret holds a BA from the University of Nairobi and an MA from the same institution. Please join me in welcoming Margaret to HENNET.
“We thank you for your support and commitment to strengthening civil society participation in the development sector in Kenya and look forward to working with you,” read part of HENNET’s statement to stakeholders.
