Both Masai and Vidyarthi celebrated each other via their respective social media pages.

Masai’s message

On his part, the newsman acknowledged their great partnership, divulging that Vidyarthi was the one who introduced him to Instagram.

“13 years ago today, Smriti Vidyarthi and I went on air for the 1st time on NTV. What a ride it has been, partner.

Fun fact, she introduced me to IG, as you can see on my first ever post, so here is a post-pronounced toast to her,” he wrote.

Vidyarthi expressed gratitude for Masai, saying he is a great friend on and off-camera.

“Today, I celebrate an incredible working relationship and an even better friendship. Thank you, partner Mark Masai for being my ride or die, on-air, and off-air, for 13 good years!

Damn. Cheers to us,” she wrote.

Given people were focusing on social distancing at the time, he decided to be creative and make his babe’s big day seem interesting.

Instead of the traditional birthday cake with icing on top, Masai gave her mukimo shaped like a cake.
