Celebrities in the media with regard to the South Imenti and Dagoretti South parliamentary seats, Jasper Muthomi alias MC Jessy and Mary Njambi Koikai alias Fyah Mummah respectively have conceded defeat.
The native of Dagoretti, who was vying for the position as an independent, took to social media on Wednesday night to express her gratitude to her devoted followers.
Njambi also congratulated the contest’s winner (who has not yet been announced) and wished them luck in their leadership.
“To the people of Dagoretti South and all my supporters, we have fought the good fight, we finished the race, and we kept the faith,” she wrote.
“I wish to congratulate the winner on their election and I wish them all in advancing the hopes of our constituents in Dagoretti South.”
She promised to support locals as much as she could going forward.
“Although I will not be able to fulfil your hopes, I will continue my commitment to the betterment of the people of Dagoretti South.”
On the other hand, MC Jessy commended Shadrack Mwiti for clinching the South Imenti seat.
“To the People of South Imenti Constituency, I Sincerely Thank you so much for the time we have interacted during our campaign time. It has been a great journey. A journey of amazing political adventure. A journey of daring hearts. We will continue to engage as we look forward to Next time. God willing,” he wrote.
Additionally, he asked his fans to remain steadfast, stating that it is just politics.
