The Catholic priest Michael Muriuki, who was abducted on Wednesday from his parents’ Mau Narok residence, has been located.
Father Muriuki was on Thursday morning reportedly discovered rope-tied and in Kaptembwa, Nakuru West. The Nakuru Referral Hospital received him in a hurry.
Unknown individuals are reported to have taken control of the priest at his mother’s house at approximately 8:00 p.m., using his Subaru Forester, registered KDK 353L, to drive him away along Elementaita Road.
According to police reports, his phone signals were followed throughout Nakuru town, and around 9:30 pm, his abandoned car was found on Ogiligei Street in Nakuru town.
Furthermore, about Ksh. 100,000 was taken out of his multiple accounts at various locations across the town andaccording to police, the vehicle was found abandoned with a running engine.
The priest was recently transferred to Holy Cross Parish Nakuru from Elburgon in Molo.
