At his home in Zimmerman, Nairobi, two weeks later, the man’s corpse was discovered hanging from a piece of bedsheet.
Geoffrey Gachago Mbothe, 30, announced his impending suicide to his wife on February 3 and spread the news on WhatsApp.
He made threats after arguing with his wife. The household issue was resolved thanks to family members’ intervention.
He once more disagreed with his wife on Tuesday, so she left the home and spent the night at her niece’s house in Kahawa West.
The couple’s apartment’s manager called the authorities on Wednesday morning to report seeing a body on the deceased’s house balcony.
A preliminary investigation was done at the location by detectives. However, they did not come across any suicide notes.
