A nude intruder was shot and killed by a military guard at the Mariakani Barracks in Kilifi County.

The naked man reportedly disregarded a warning from a soldier guarding the gate and was shot dead at Mariakani Barracks’ entrance.
The guard challenged the dead to halt by firing one round in the air as a warning when he was seen approaching the gate box, according to a Sergeant from the Military Police.
The man continued to approach, causing the soldier to shoot him and kill him instantly.
The mother later positively recognized the body as belonging to 25-year-old local Juma Kitsao Kombe.
It was not immediately clear why the deceased entered the 77 Artillery Battalion of the Kenyan Army, but according to security sources, he was thought to be responsible for certain local reports of robberies, murders, and drug trafficking.
Police added that he had previously been detained and questioned in relation to the allegations.
