Police in Nairobi, Kenya, are looking into the death of a traveller whose body was discovered in the waiting area of the airport.
The 43-year-old was traveling to Mombasa that evening, according to the police, and had checked in and was prepared to board when he failed to show up at the airport as needed.
Officials claimed that Jambojet airline representatives had repeatedly called his name and asked him to board in vain.
Officials stated that he had occupied a seat in the waiting area and died there while holding a travel bag, but they have not yet determined the exact cause of death.
After it was realized he was motionless on the seat, the airline’s clinical officers were called to attend to him before pronouncing him dead.
Police are yet to establish the cause of death but they have informed the family of the deceased.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
