Mwaro was reported dead early this month by her close relatives a day after her birthday on March 8.

“We’re still seeking to establish what led to the death of our loved one, Prisca. We are yet to get answers for quite a number of questions,” a close family member said

The mother of three was married to Namwamba for eight years before they parted ways in 2019.

Cabinet Secretary Health Nakhumicha S. Wafula was among the dignitaries that accompanied CS Ababu for the funeral.

She wrote on her Twitter page: ”In Bundalangi, Port Victoria, to condole with Cabinet colleague CS @AbabuNamwamba and his family following the demise of Priscah Nabirangu Mwaroh and to deliver the condolence message from H.E President @WilliamsRuto . May God Almighty give CS Ababu and his family the strength to endure. Thank you, Bishop Mark Kadima Wamukoya of the Bungoma Catholic Diocese for the enriching sermon.”
