National Carrier Kenya Airways has celebrated a flight cabin crew Alice Waweru after working in the airline since 1985. Her tenure as cabin crew came to an end with a final flight to JFK, New York.
According to the airline, Ms Waweru holds the distinction of having been the Flight Purser on our historic inaugural direct flight to New York.
To honour her for the exemplary service, KQ mounted a ceremonial water cannon salute which took her by surprise.

An X user Billy Clinton Endeche wrote : “A very dedicated cabin crew team leader…her service is always the best …. proud to have been served with her twice on the dreamliner while on board to London and JFK 2 yrs ago.”
