Police are searching for the thugs who fatally shot a Rwandan citizen during a robbery in Kakuma, Turkana.
At the weekend, a woman was being robbed outside a well-known restaurant, and Eric Byringiro reportedly attempted to save her when he was shot in the chest.
The woman raised the alarm when about four gunmen attacked her and took her purse, which was thought to contain money or valuables.
According to investigators, Eric was impelled to rush for her assistance despite being unaware of the risks he had put himself in.
At that point, the shooters started firing, striking him in the chest.
He was brought to the Kakuma Mission Hospital, where, according to the police, he was treated but later declared dead.
According to police, no one has been detained in connection with the shooting, and the shooters made off with an undetermined sum of money.
A team that went to the spot reported finding one used AK47 rifle cartridge.
As part of their investigation into the assault, police met with the robbery victim.
Police believe the shooters were aware of the victim’s carryings at the time of the crime.
