In Mugoya, Embu County, police are searching for a man suspected of defiling a 12-year-old schoolgirl while her mother slept.
After the girl’s mother went to bed on Saturday night following a night of drinking with the suspect, the suspect sexually assaulted the child.
Julius Kyumbule, the head of the Embu West police, reported that the woman and the suspect, who is thought to be her boyfriend, were spotted drinking beer in a public area.
The woman and the suspect departed for her home a little while later.
The woman arrived and went right to bed, sleeping.
The defendant then seduced the young girl, took her to another home, and violated her before fleeing.
The young girl later told her mother about her ordeal, and she then called the police.
Police, according to Mr. Kyumbule, will make sure the culprit is detained and charged.
